In the last week of March, we headed to the City of Brotherly Love for the Spring NSTA National Conference! It was busy and exhausting with early mornings and long days, but we took in the sights, had some great food (Reading Terminal Market for the win!), and met with many wonderful and enthusiastic educators! We couldn’t have asked for a better way to kick off the Spring.
This year, we hosted seven different workshops, ranging from a Forensics Escape Rooom to C. elegans and raffled off several EDGE™ Integrated Electrophoresis Systems.
- Forensic Escape Room: Design Your Own Biotech Adventure
- Code Breakers: Using CRISPR for Sickle Cell Gene Editing
- DNA Detective: Reuniting Families With DNA Fingerprinting & Electrophoresis
- Put the M into STEM: Quantitative Techniques for Biotechnology
- Trailblazers: Investigating Chemotaxis with C. elegans
- Color Your Classroom: Engaging Students with Bacteria and Bio-Art
- Lion Family Reunion: Conservation Biology Genetics
Thank you to everyone who attended one of our workshops on Thursday, March 27th & Friday, March 28th or stopped by Booth #314 to say hi and we hope to see you in Minneapolis for the Fall Conference!
