HOSA International Leadership Conference Recap

Last week, we traveled to Nashville, Tennessee for the HOSA International Leadership Conference at the beautiful Gaylord Opryland Resort. This was our first time exhibiting at HOSA and we had such a wonderful time. For those who are unfamiliar with HOSA, the organization is student-led, recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Department of Health and Human Services and many federal and state agencies and it encourages HOSA-Future Health Professionals to become next generation leaders in the worldwide health community. HOSA provides instructional tools, technical skills, and real world experience to engage students and help them find their way to fulfilling and successful careers.

It was such a treat to meet so many bright and knowledgeable students from around the world at our booth. They asked such thoughtful questions and took genuine interest in all the opportunities this conference was providing.

One of our favorite aspects of the conference was the pin exchanges. Pin swapping was the perfect ice breaker and propelled students to get to know each other a little bit and make new friends. Each HOSA state chapter provided their students with pins unique to their state and then the students took it from there! It was fun to watch everyone’s lanyard fill up with pins over the course of the conference. Texas, South Carolina, Idaho (and of course DC!) were our personal favorites.

We’re looking forward to the 2023 International Leadership Conference in Texas and it was plainly obvious to us that our future is in great hands!
